With cystitis, when there is pain and burning in the bladder, it is recommended to take in small amounts, but at regular, brief intervals, an infusion made from equal parts of young Basket plant leaves(Callisiafragrans), cornflower flowers (Centaurea cyanus)and field horsetail (Equisetum arvense). In addition to drinking the infusion, a light massage should be applied in the area of the bladder, after which a bag full of hot field horsetail (Equisetum arvense) should be placed on it.
The following mixture has an anti-inflammatory and antimicrobialeffect:
Equal parts of Basket plant leaves(Callisiafragrans), St. John’s Wort
(Hypericumperforatum), Three-lobe Beggarticks (Bidens Tripartita L.),andcalendula flowers (Calendula officinalis). Boil 1 tablespoon of the mixture in 300 ml of water for 15 minutes. Let the infusion steep for 1 hour, then strain and take 50 ml, 4 times a day, 20 minutes before meals.
Boil 2 tablespoons of wolf’s-foot clubmoss seeds (Lycopodiumclavatum) in 2 cups of water for 15 minutes. After the infusion cools down add 6 table spoons juice from Basket plant leaves (Callisiafragrans). Take 1 tablespoon of the mixture on every 2 hours, eating the seeds as well. This remedy is recommended for acute inflammation of the bladder with pain and spasms.
Forchronic cystitis and presence of pus in the urine it is recommended to use an alcoholic tincture of Round-leaved Wintergreen (Pyrolarotundifolia) (add 50 g of the herb into 500 ml of alcohol (e.g. vodka) and soak for 14 days). Add 7 tablespoons of juice from Basket plant leaves (Callisiafragrans) to the ready tincture. Take 30-40 drops of the mixture, 3 times a day.
Prepare an infusion from spiny plumeless thistle (Carduusacanthoides)– add 1 tablespoon of the herb to 1 cup of boiling water. Drink 3-4 cups of the infusion daily, adding 1 tablespoon of juice from Basket plant leaves (Callisiafragrans). The duration of this treatment is 10 days.
For inflammation of the bladderuse the following mixture: take 5 g of each herb – Thujashoots (Thujaorientalis), kinnikinnickleaves (Arctostaphylosuva-ursi),hairy rupturewortwhole stems (Herniaria hirsute), andbirchbuds (Betula alba). Boil the herbal mixture in 1 l of water for 5-7 minutes, then add 6 tablespoons of juice from Basket plant leaves (Callisiafragrans). Consume within the same day, warming the liquid before drinking.
