For internal use. It is good for your child to rinse its mouth with cool ox-eye tea.
I. In the morning, at noon and in the evening 10 minutes before meals, if the sick child has high temperature, give it to drink 1 powder of ½ g (for teenagers and adults 1 g) of the followingа pharmaceutical mix: nutmeg (Myristica fragrans), sal ammoniac and tartaric acid (or cream of tartar), made into powder, in equal parts. It is easier for small children to take it dissolved and sweetened with honey; for teenagers and adults it is suitable in capsules (from the pharmacy).
II. Together with the powder let the sick people drink 1 small glass of 30–75 g (according to age) decoction of Benedictine thorn (Cnicus benefictus) – leaves and blossoming branches 100 g. From it take 2 table spoonfuls and boil them for 15 minutes в 1 l of water; when it cools, filter. Or 1 small glass of 30–75 g decoction of young peach tree – 1 table spoonful of the bark, 10–12 leaves and 1 tea spoonful of peach kernels, 1 table spoonful of yarrow (Achillea millefolium), coltsfoot (Tussilago farfara) and red cilantro (Eritraea centaurium) are boiled together in 1 l of water, until half of the decoction is left and immediately add 25 whole rosehips. Leave it to boil a little more; when it cools, filter.
If the sick child does not have high temperature, let it drink 1 small glass of 30–75 g (according to age) decoction of agrimonia, pine tips, walnut leaves, spirea, posopasat (Fumaria officinalis) and dwarf everlast (Helicrhysum arenarium) – 50 g of each. Two table spoonfuls of that mix are boiled in 500 ml of boiling water; boil for 15 minutes on low heat; when it cools, filter.
III. Two hours after meals, in both cases, give the child 1 small glass of 30–75 g (according to age) decoction of Iceland moss 40 g, field horsetail (Equisetum arvense) 50 g, hemp-nettle (Galeopsis tetrahit) 75 g, ordinary nettle (Urtica dioica) and goose grass (Polygonum aviculare) – 100 grams each. Two table spoonfuls of that mix are boiled in 500 ml of boiling water. Boil for 5 minutes, and when it cools, filter.
