Story told by Miho Mikov from Sofia
In March 1980 I had a routine annual exam at the 16-th polyclinic in Sofia. For my great surprise, they found that I have aneurism on the carotid – a disease for which there is no treatment and the only option is a surgery. I was directed to the third General Hospital in Sofia. This surgery was actually a heart-related surgery and they wanted my consent and signature. Doctors did not book me for a specific date or time, and gave me some time to “get courage” and go when I am ready.
I was at the greatest dilemma of my life – should I go for a surgery… I knew well that at any moment, I could “explode like a balloon”. I also knew that an internal haemorrhage during the surgery will end with death. Everyone can imagine what was my psychological burden at that moment of my life. It was very hard to make a decision. Fortunately in one of my dreams, I saw our famous prophetess – Baba Vanga. At the time I have only had heard about her. I decided to visit her at the first possible opportunity.
I started to feel the sparkle of hope in my soul. Back at the days, to arrange and appointment with Baba Vanga was quite a difficult task. One of my colleagues that knew my case, helped me a lot to visit the prophettes.
Baba Vanga looked exactly the same as in my dream. In front of her home there were many people waiting in a line up to see her. When all those people passed by, I opened the door and asked if I can come in. I heard a strict voice saying:
– Come in, but you are not booked. Who sends you? What is all this about?
I felt bad, and with a guilty voice I quickly said that a colleague of mine arranged that meeting, so I don’t get to wait for an appointment.
– Give me your sugar cube – said Baba Vanga again with her strict voice, which respected me at once. I had the feeling that I was standing in front of judge, being the accused. She touched the sugar cubes carefuly, and with more friendly, relaxed voice she said:
– What are those sufferings from past life events? – she stared to list events as if she was seeing scenes of my life from the past, present and future.

– It is not the carotid, you should know that…another man’s disease will come to you that you’ll need surgery for.
Baba Vanga told me a lot more than that on other subjects, and finally she said:
– You have a long life
I thought I heard “you have an eternal life!” From everything told, that is what I needed the most.
On my way back to Sofia, I had the feeling that I was a winner, that I won against death once and for all. I decided that I am not going to do the surgery.
Since then, 18 years passed by, without me being sick. Baba Vanga predictions about my life came to reality. It was a complete turn over – from a sick and “written off” patient to fully healthy and energetic man.
Not until few months ago, I got sick from a “man’s disease” on my testicles, where I had to do a surgery – just like Baba Vanga said. I didn’t hesitate at all whether should I do the surgery or not, because I remembered that Baba Vanga told me to do it.
I have no words to describe my gratitude to Baba Vanga. She was my angel. She was my God’s salvation. I am telling other people about her with a great honour, love, and respect!
Story analysis
Baba Vanga said “you have a long life” – those words recharges the desperate human soul with thirst for life. The hope that turns over the bad thoughts into good ones and this is just one side if Baba Vanga’s miraculous power. How much a man needs when he is so desperate in life – just two words. When those two words are told by Baba Vanga – the one who knows and sees everything and can’t be wrong, everything else starts to make sense. In fact a lot of people used to go to see Baba Vanga just like you go to see your psychotherapist. They need her compassion, to share to her their personal problems as they fully trust her. There were those people, that didn’t follow any of her advices. Once Baba Vanga sees a person in front of her, she sees how is his mindset arranged, and if he is a disbeliever and he is highly unlikely to follow any suggestions opinions, she is usually saving them.
