Penka Tzaneva About Baba Vanga

RB About Baba Vanga

Story by R. B. from Sofia

Always when I remember about Baba Vanga, my heart feels so much respect and love for this woman. She wasn’t only a prophetess, she was a woman with big heart that had all good virtues that people can have.

Me and my husband lived a fairly normal life for over 20 years. He wasn’t a bad man, in comparison to many other generals from the military back at the days. He was fairly intelligent and educated. All of his good characteristics faded away in front of his weakness to over consume alcohol.

In one sunny day in the Spring of 1987, when I was not in Bulgaria, without any notices or warnings, using my absence, my husband left my family. When I got back home, I was startled – all wardrobes were empty – he took our all of his stuff. The sad culmination for me came when shortly after my husband left me, my father passed away unexpectedly. Months before him, my mother died. So I buried my dearest people alone – I had no siblings.

For days, I wasn’t with my mind. Medications didn’t help, and all my friends were helpless in trying to comfort me. They advised me to visit one of those military spa sanatoriums. I left my daughter alone, and went to the sanatorium.

Every day, at 10 am I gathered with the personnel to drink coffee. They were all shocked that my husband left me like that, so disrespectfully as they knew very well our family status of good understanding. One of the doctors recommended me to go and visit Baba Vanga – she had a friend that can arrange me the visit with her. I didn’t hesitate at all – what could I lose.

It was the Spring of 1988. We arrived in Petrich at around 4:00 pm. Baba Vanga was sitting on a bench at her yard. The doctor’s friend went inside to talk to her. In about 5 minutes Baba Vanga called my name.

I approached her very excited – it was black in front of my eyes, and my legs softened. She sensed that I was nervous, and the first thing that she said was:

– Do you have pain at the back of your neck?

– Yes, a lot – I said.

– A-a-a, you don’t to worry that much. Keep yourself worry-free as you will get your condition worse

I got almost numb, and felt even more sick. Baba Vanga was quiet for a little, and then changed the subject:

– You are a good person, and you have done many good deeds – they have supported you all these years. You have a worry – you are getting divorced. Don’t regret – you husband is a mean person. It doesn’t matter that he is high in the hierarchy (she meant his rank of a general), people care about you much more.

Then Baba Vanga paused for a few seconds, thinking. I was absorbing every word she said – I almost felt like I have been hypnotized. She went on:

– Listen to me, in the next three years he will sue you and he will be winning, you will be losing. After the third year, he will lose everything and you will find peace in your life. Now hurry up and go back to your apartment – your daughter is sick and needs your help. Tell your ex-husband to come over here – I know very well what to tell him.

Here Baba Vanga said something else, that greatly surprised me:

– You husband has another woman with him. She is also very liable for what is happening to you, but they won’t be for long together. Don’t forget – bring me the stuff that you will find under your doorstep – on the right, do you hear me? Now go!

When I got back to the sanatorium, I started to prepare myself to leave early in the next morning to go and visit my daughter. Doctors were advising me not to go, but I didn’t listen to anybody. I found my daughter with high fever, and recently she had a nerve breakdown. She was wondering how did I know that she wasn’t well, but I didn’t tell that I know this from Baba Vanga.

Then over the next couple of months and years – everything that Baba Vanga said happened without exceptions. I was telling friends about my meeting with her, but they were all reserved and didn’t believe me which was very offending for me. My older daughter even thought I was losing my mind.

My respect towards Baba Vanga got even greater, when I found out after an examination that I had a serious health condition on my neck vertebrae.

Then on November 10th, 1989 my husband was dismissed from service. They took all his privileges as a general. He didn’t have a home of his own for a long time, his friends abandoned him, then he had a complicated surgery on his brain…He was much more miserable and alone than myself. Baba Vanga helped to accept my fate more naturally – as if it’s written on a stone and it can’t be changed or deleted.

Regarding the stuff under my doorstep – that was left on the back burner for a long time. I knew that our doorstep is with a concrete step, so I can’t move it. However in one day, I was astonished when I saw a big concrete piece from my doorstep broken off. When I lifted the piece to through it away I found an old coin all smeared in tar, and some other garbage. I disposed of everything in the toilet.

Later on, I founded out that this was a black magic. So Baba Vanga was right once again – that is why she insisted to bring everything I find to her asap, so she can release me from the misfortunes that this magic was causing me.

Baba Vanga also perfectly predicted about the mean woman that my husband lived with for some time. Her mother suddenly passed away. Her daughter never got married and didn’t have children. They became big enemies with my husband, and even today they don’t say a word to each other.

In 1995 I was attending the wedding ceremony of a friend of mine at the St. Petka Church in Sofia. I went to the church earlier. A priest walked by near me and I decided to ask him if he believes in black magic, and do they exist. He said:

– Unfortunately they do exist my dear. From time immemorial people were doing black magic, but that is very wrong and sinful.

I just recalled about Baba Vanga again, about her warning…I never got to see her again, but remained in my heart for as long as I am alive. She changed my life’s perception dramatically, and every day now I try to be better person that is ready to help others in need.
