Story told by Stefan Demirev from Nova Zagora
I was suffering from chronic prostatitis for a long time. Unfortunately the condition was getting worse, rather than improving. They were giving me different treatments at the hospitals, but without results. I also went to the greatest Bulgarian healer – Peter Dimkov. He prescribed me some herbs, but they didn’t help either. I was on the edge of desperation – I couldn’t sleep for whole nights due to the acute pain that I was having.
One day, a very good friend of mine, to whom I was the best man, decided to go to visit Baba Vanga because of his wife – they couldn’t have children for a long time. When we got back from Petrich, he came straight to my place to tell me something that made me startled, so he said: – Stefan, right after Baba Vanga told me and my wife what to do for our problem, she said: “you have a good friend named Stefan, who is having a serious health problem and he has to come and see me as soon as possible”. By the way my friend’s wife got pregnant right after she visited a doctor in Stara Zagora, just like Baba Vanga advised them.
It was around Christmas time of 1976. I was getting ready for my next treatment in Hisarya. I went for my treatment, and my wife (who is a teacher) went to Petrich to see Baba Vanga. After she was waiting for a couple of days she finally got in. Baba Vanga started with the words: – Your husband is in Hisarya now. This is a good decision, but this won’t help him much, so here is what you need to do: In spring time pick 100 flowers of wild violet, and take 100 g of pure organic honey. In the beginning of May tell your husband to come with me carrying the honey and the violets.

My wife told me all of the details, and in May I went to see Baba Vanga in person. She asked me why did I come and explained that she wanted me to bring her the wild violets and the honey directly to her. We were at the yard of her house – I was facing East, and she was across me. She took the honey and the violets, and holding them in her hands, she turned her back on me and started whispering something, that was incomprehensible. After few minutes she turn around again and told me: – When you go back to Nova Zagora, choose one day and boil the wild violets in one liter of water. Then take your clothes off and pour the water where you boiled the violets onto yourself three times. On the same day eat the honey in three equal bites.
I thanked her and went home. Since I was a little prejudiced that this will work, I postponed the procedure for a couple of days. But then in the next 4 days my condition worsened, and I decided to follow Baba Vanga’s instructions and do her remedy.
A real miracle, I hardly believed this was not a dream – right on the next day my pain was gone. I got healthy again! For me and all of my relatives this was incredible, out of this world, magical… When I was telling this story to other people, most of them didn’t believe me, but the truth it – this was the only remedy that cured my disease!
Story Analysis
So many stories have proven the effectiveness of the miracle remedies of Baba Vanga. In this case they even worked for the prejudiced man who was in a doubt whether she can help him.
Always when the information is given to her, Baba Vanga helps the unfortunate people even if they are sceptical of her skills. For this particular case with the man being diagnosed with prostatitis, Baba Vanga knew that he was deeply desperate, and that is why he didn’t show any signs of scepticism – even though most likely Baba Vanga has sensed that. She prescribes him a strange combination of violets and honey, but just like the many other cases, she asks him to bring the ingredients in person. Not until she “whispers” something, then gives him the instructions how to prepare the recipe. Baba Vanga commits an act that resembles a ritual, and the instructions she gave also sound quite mysterious. Just like a genius chemist is able to transform the lead into gold, in the same way Baba Vanga transforms the honey and the wild violets into a miracle cure. What is also interesting here is that she told Stefan to eat the honey at once. Essentially she has another opinion about the honey. Once she told one mother: don’t give your child too much honey, or don’t put too much butter in your meals. For another woman that was diagnosed with cancer Baba Vanga said: – You will not die of cancer, this is not cancer…you will only take honey – just one teaspoon a day that you will put under your tongue, and you will gradually eat it. Don’t swallow it all at once as it will be like a bomb for your stomach and it will be harmful. Same with water – drink it in little sips and don’t drink too much at once. Make sure you use honey that was extracted from the mountains.
