Stoyanka Stoyanova About Baba Vanga

Story by Stoyanka Stoyanova from Burgas

In 1969 my sister went to visit Baba Vanga. Once she saw my sister, Baba Vanga started to talk about my son – Veselin, who was killed at the age of 24 by a group of hooligans.

“ You are coming from Kardzhali to ask for Veselin – there he is, I see him with his charming eyes and handsome hair. He won’t come back anymore. Here is grandma Petra (this was my mother) – she is with Veselin. At this moment Veselin is greeting you”.

Once my sister heard all those words, she started to cry. Baba Vanga asked her why she didn’t bring any flowers. My sister tried to explain, but then Baba Vanga added: “I don’t need the flowers anymore, but when you come back to Kardzhali, go to the cemetery and bring fresh flowers to your relatives”.

Baba Vanga also told my sister that Veselin was killed by 5-6 people, and that the police will find the killers. He was killed near a river, somewhere in the woods, nearby a road.

Initially I thought that my sister didn’t really hear well what Baba Vanga told her, so I decided to go and visit her in person. After the meeting with her, I wrote down in details everything that I heard.

Here is an excerpt of our conversation:

“You are the mother of Veselin. There he is – the handsome Veselin. He wants water, he is asking for his watch – where is his watch…He was killed nearby a road and a river out in the woods. About 5-6 people got him drunk, and then killed him. They started to follow him on Friday, they couldn’t kill him on Saturday, and Sunday was the day”.

Baba Vanga literary repeated the words that she said to my sister. Then she went on:

“Veselin is asking how are the dams, how is the bridge, how are the fishermen. He is asking you to say hi to those. He is saying that he was a passionate fisherman – the best one he caught was from one river that was very bright. He wanted to study. Last year he had attended the admission exams – and was not accepted. This year they had accepted him to study in Sofia. He wanted to have his own apartment, to have his own car, but since he wasn’t ready for a car yet, first he wanted to buy a motorcycle and a small boat, so he can go fishing. He was very smart, he had to study math…He was very loved and dearly missed at the lavish funeral that you organized for him. There were many flowers at the funeral, but he is asking why he wasn’t taken to church.

“Becase – I said, the Government officials said he either go to church, or he goes to study music”.

“Well you made the right choice the” – said Baba Vanga

Then she paused for few seconds and carried on:

“Veselin is asking about Bozhidar, Bozho? – this was my son’s first friend. Then Baba Vanga listed the names of most of his friends.  “He is asking by all means, to send his greetings to all of his friends. He is asking about Todor and Mehmed…You are not coming directly from Kardzhali but from Plovdiv”?

Indeed when I headed out to Petrich I stopped by in Plovdiv to visit my husband who was in a hospital there.

“Who is in a hospital” – Baba Vanga asked.

“It is my husband there” – I said quickly, and Baba Vanga continued:

“He is in the ocular department, he can’t see with his two eyes, but you don’t worry, the doctors in Plovdiv will help him…Veselin is asking about the sweater that you were going to knit for him – what happened did you knit it? If you haven’t, do it and bring it to his grave, on his annual commemoration”.

Nobody knew about this sweater except Veselin and myself. Also nobody knew that he wanted to buy a motorcycle. I asked Baba Vanga what color he wants the sweater to be in, and she said that he wants it to be grey. Then she continued talking to me as if she was reading a book infront of me.

“You live on the third floor – your house is very neat and tidy. You have enlarged his photo and have placed it across your bed – so you can see him and cry for him. Don’t cry woman, you cry way too much – you will get sick”.

Baba Vanga asked me to bring her a handful of soil from my son’s grave, when 1 year passes. I did that, and when she touched the soil, she unconditionally said that my son was killed by two men, who were beating his head with a weapon.

“One of them is in prison now. Why the second one is still loose? – Baba Vanga said

“Because they covered him – I said.

“Well – it was written in stone that you will have a son until the age of 24. Stop searching and digging into the case”.

This is everything that Baba Vanga said about the murder of my son. The only thing that didn’t come true was that the police did not apprehend the killers – on the contrary they covered them.

The cherry of the cake is that all what Baba Vanga said to me – I heard it from my son through a dream of mine. The way she described Veselin with such an accuracy – his blue eyes, his handsome hair and face, was as if she was seeing him right infront of her.

For me Baba Vanga is the greatest prophetess I have ever seen in my life. No matter how strong science is, it will never be stronger or more powerful than God. I really think Baba Vanga was sent to Earth from God to help people in need.
